On the day of the wedding shuttle vans will pick up and return guests to the Lodge at Vail, before and after the celebrations. The use of shuttles is strongly encouraged! If for some reason you must drive yourself, please see the directions at bottom of this page as GPS will NOT lead you to the correct location. Either way, enjoy the beautiful drive!

Piney Lake is nestled in the Gore Range at an elevation of 9,400 feet and can only be reached via a winding mountain road so a shuttle is necessary to bring our attendees to the wedding ceremony and reception. Please make sure to be at one of the required locations no later than 2:00 pm on Sunday to be able to catch the shuttle from one of the designated hotel pickup locations.
Whether you are renting a car to explore the great state of Colorado or if you need a ride for your weekend travels, we've got you covered!
Feel free to book a rental car through your preferred company or use the Silvercar service explained below. If you do not wish to rent a car you can book a shuttle service to/from Denver/Vail using Colorado Mountain Express.

We have teamed up with specific hotels to make your stay enjoyable and your wedding experience as easy as possible. The Denver hotel option is for those who wish to join us for the optional the Stars & Stills Cocktails & Dancing event on Friday night but feel free to simply book your stay in Vail to attend the Vail Welcome Party on Saturday evening and the Wedding Ceremony on Sunday. A few of Vail hotel selections are the pick up and return locations for the necessary shuttles to and from the wedding venue so please book with one of the mountain hotels listed or make sure you know where the shuttle stops are located (see transportation page for more details). Please contact the hotel as soon as possible and indicate that you are with the Ferrell/Donaldson wedding to receive the rates listed below.
NOTE: Vail is about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Denver International Airport so we recommend a late afternoon or evening flight on Monday (depending on how well your body handles hangovers...).
